Olivarez College, thru Dr. Elmer B. de Leon (AVP-Academic Affairs) joined the 3rd Government-Academic and Industry Network (GAIN) Convention on February 6-7, 2020 at Dusit Thani – Manila, Makati City, with the theme: The Future Workplace and Graduates for the Smart City Revolution: Towards Global Competitiveness and Human Capital Development.
The said participation was in support for the City of Paranaque, that presented Developing SMART e-Gov Services Models and Benchmarks, and also the GAIN organization as an institutional member.
GAIN is a synergy of initiatives and collaboration of leaders in government, education and business to ensure the global competitiveness of the Philippine graduates and workforce, especially in the fields of discipline that require compliance with international standards.
The said convention aimed to focus on ensuring workforce to remain globally competitive by building partnership between local cities, businesses and academic institutions to innovate and promote work in time for the SMART City Revolution. It consists of keynote address by Hon. Cong. Mark Go, different convention sessions, model presentation by institutions, companies and government agencies, and panel discussions with representatives from significant sectors in developing academic institutions towards reshaping the nation.
