Olivarez College through the Center for Research and Publication, helds its 2nd National Multidisciplinary Research Conference with the theme “ Sustaining the Power of Research for Innovation and Development in the Academe and Field Practice” on March 16, 2019 at the Tagaytay Country Hotel, Tagaytay City. Dr. Elmer B. De Leon, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean Jean Rizza Dela Cruz, Dean, Olivarez College Tagaytay gave their welcome and opening remarks, respectively while Dr. Maricar S. Prudente, Ecotoxicologist and Researcher from DLSU delivered the keynote address.
More than 200 participants attended the students, faculty, educators and academicians, and field practitioners across areas and disciplines, from various Colleges, Universities and field practices all over the Philippines. The conference aimed to gain significant insights, updates and inputs on developments in the field of research; disseminate research findings through paper presentation and publication for further exploration and purposeful adaptation; and share practices, relevant experiences and related ideas toward forging collaborations and networking partnerships in order to create research prospects and possibilities.
Parallel research presentations were categorized according to the following topics: Teacher and Basic Education and School-Based Action Researches, Languages, Media and Communication, Allied Health, Nutrition, Sciences and Agriculture, Business, Accountancy and Hospitality Management, Aeronautics, Maritime, Criminology, Military Education, Public Administration, Legal Management and Political Science, Arts, Culture and Social Sciences, Engineering, Technology and Computer Education, Philosophy, Theology and International Studies, Technical – Vocational Arts and Food Technology, and Junior and High School Researches, Feasibility Projects and Capstones.
Exemplary researches were recognized and granted Honorary Research Award in various areas according to the standards set forth for this purpose.
The whole proceedings, abstract entries, endorsements and specific details were documented and published in its second journal with ISSN 2672-2852.
