This year’s Annual Institutional Faculty Development Training Program stressed on three important tenets of teaching standards themed as “Quality Instruction through Curriculum Audit, Knowledge Generation and Technology Utilization”, held on June 12-13, 2019 at the Bulwagang Dra. Rosario Olivarez, Olivarez College, Parañaque City.
The program started with a Thanksgiving Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Sonny Merida, which who immediately followed by the presentation of intuitional thrusts and strategic directions, the administrators and new faculty and instructional policies and standards by Dr. Eric L. Olivarez, Vice President for Academics and Services.
The first plenary session focused on Updates on CPD Amendments and Lecture-Writeshop on “OBE Curriculum Audit: Ensuring Exit Outcome Alignment” facilitated by Dr. Elmer B. de Leon, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The second plenary session on “Translating Traditional Researches into Publishable IMRAD and APA Format, Research Ethics and Online Publication Process” was taken care of by Dr. Edward Quinto, Associate Professor and Research Coordinator of Mapua University.
The last session on demonstration of Google System for instructional and professional execution and at the same time, shares blended learning practice paramount to the 21st century teaching experience was handled by the technology savvy, Dean of the College of Education of Far Eastern University, Dr. Stephen Jay Co.
To note, this training merited 14 CPD credit units granted for professional teachers by the Professional Regulations Commission with Accreditation Number PTR-2017-109-3987.
