The Nutrition Month is an institutionalized campaign that offers opportunities for various stakeholders to come together and address relevant nutrition issues in the Philippines.
On July 28, 2021, the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, headed by Dr. Dina Jimenez, prepared a community breakfast pantry for the Olivarian Community in celebration of the Nutrition Month with the theme: “Malnutrisyon Labanan, First 1000 Days Tutukan”.
The program was divided into two sessions. The morning session was actively participated by the Olivarez College’s administrators, faculty and staff. Various sumptuous and healthy meals were served on the OC Quadrangle Stage. Safety and health protocols were observed during the distribution of food. The afternoon session was filled with enlightening talk on the importance of breakfast and studies on health outcomes of breakfast and skipping breakfast by Adelisa F. Garrido-Lontoc, TESDA accredited assessor & trainer.
The program, through the effort of the committee and support of the administrators, had been a successful one.
