Olivarez College, thru the College of Education (CoEd)and Continuing Professional Development Center (CPDC), conducted the second leg of the CPD Academy for this season among non-education faculty from different departments, tracks/strands and fields, dubbed as “Pedagogy for Non-Education Faculty” on August 02, 2019 at the Graduate School Multimedia Room. Ms. Claudette Tandoc (child development advocate and professor at De La Salle University and National University) served as the resource speaker and facilitator, who was able to entice the participants with her dynamic presentation of the module. She also demonstrated timely and relevant teaching strategies along with learning principles.
At the end of the seminar, participants manifested joy, excitement and enthusiasm to meet their class the next day as they were renewed to their passion for teaching. True enough, this session enlightened everyone on the significance of understanding the learners to come up with relevant and appropriate teaching strategies.
This program is part of the CPD Academy, specifically designed to address and respond to the changing needs of the faculty and staff in specific fields and contexts. It is spearheaded by Mr. Jasper Gaboc, in coordination with the Office of the Asst. Vice President for Academic Affairs.
