The Library and Information Science Department has yet again, recognized its newest librarians who successfully passed the Librarian’s Licensure Examination held on September 10-11, 2019.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Librarians released results after three (3) working days. Four out of five takers passed the examination with an overall percentage of 80% against the national passing rate of 55%.
The new licensed Olivarian librarians are Lea D. Ballenas, Darwin G. Blasabas, Ella Mae B. Cuaresma and Marielle J. Manapat. This recent success achieved by the department shows that the BLIS program of Olivarez College continues to reveal its competitiveness.
